Intake Evaluator/Behavior Specialist
Work in a dynamic treatment team for the newest students at the Groden Center. This position is specific to the staffing and evaluation of new students to the program. Working under the Intake Supervisor, determine appropriate behavioral, motivational, educational assessments, surveys, and use of curriculum materials,
Implementation and monitoring of students' individual instructive programs; Assistance in the preparation of students' individual programs; working with families, residential program staff, employers and students' co-workers at community sites, representing the Center in a positive professional manner; Act as Intake Evaluator for Groden North and South.
Bachelor's degree required in psychology, special education, or related social science or education field. Volunteer, intern, student teaching or employed experience (one year) with individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders. Be of good character.
Completion of a Teacher Assistant Pre-Employment Training Program approved by the RI. Department of Education (RIDE); New Staff Training Program conducted by Groden is acceptable.
