And the Secret Garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles” – Frances Hodgson Bernett, The Secret Garden

In honor of World Autism Awareness Day, The Groden Network celebrated with The 3rd Annual Secret Garden cocktail party at Roger Williams Botanical Center. Surrounded by beautiful foliage and flowers, we recognized our honorees who have shown never-ending commitment in supporting our efforts to cultivate the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental, intellectual or emotional challenges.

Guest mingled while admiring artwork created by Cove Artists Collective and the Silent Auction. AMICA Insurance (Employer Of The Year Honoree), arrived with an abundance of employees showing their support for our Employment Services Program. John C. Tickner (Spirit of Giving Honoree) gave a heartfelt speech about his involvement over the years with The Groden Network and its impact on his life. He even brought a special blue Autism light for the night! Moved by the event and honorees, Debbie Pfefferle (Champion Honoree), mustered up the courage to speak even though she had previously stated she was not a public speaker.

The event was a resounding success, we raised over $10,000! The proceeds from The Secret Garden will help fund renovations of The Cove Center.
