At the Groden Network, we believe Black Lives Matter.

Since the tragic death of George Floyd, the Leadership Team of the Groden Network has been actively involved in discussions with our staff members and with members of our community agencies and partners, including the RI Coalition for Children and Families and the Community Provider Network of RI. These conversations have focused on collaborative actions and initiatives to counter systemic oppression and racial inequality.

We stand in unity with the families, children, and adults we support; our staff members; and our community and agency partners against all forms of prejudice, racism, and unjust behavior. We stand united with our community partners in active efforts to sustain lasting measures that will ensure authentic equality and diversity for all citizens.

Our organization, founded in 1976, educates, supports, and advocates for the most vulnerable members of our communities who often experience inequality. Our mission emphasizes supporting all individuals to be fully included in society, leading productive, dignified, and satisfying lives. We will continue to advocate for the rights of the children and adults we serve to be treated with equity and respect.

Through collaborative, skillful action, we will strengthen our initiatives in working toward a more just, humane, and inclusive society for all.
