Founded in 1980 by baseball great Joe Trimble and his wife Jennie, in honor of their son John, who was one of The Groden Center’s first clients. For 41 years all profits from the day have gone directly to provide internal grants for client activities and programs. Proceeds from the 2020 event have gone to purchase things like exercise bikes for your group homes, social activities for our treatment foster care program and new equipment for our Cove Client enterprises~ Window Warriors and The Groden Greenhouse at the North Burial Ground in Providence.
