Our Programs
As part of our commitment to empowering individuals and helping them lead richer, more independent lives, we offer several important initiatives that allow them to build self-confidence, learn new skills, and express their creativity. Cove Enterprises includes the Groden Greenhouse, the Cove Artist Collection, and Window Warriors.
The Groden Greenhouse
Located in the historical North Burial Ground in Providence, this once-abandoned greenhouse has flourished under the care of the Groden network, in partnership with the Providence Parks Department since 1995.
The Groden Greenhouse gives the individuals we serve the opportunity to sample and learn a wide range of creative and vocational skills, including arts, crafts, and digital photography. The overall experience is focused on learning greenhouse operations, including planting seeds, watering, crop transplantation, floral arrangement, flower delivery, and customer relations.
We are also proud to offer completely individualized horticulture training to ensure that every individual can learn, develop, and thrive. Learning to work independently is a source of pride for everyone at the greenhouse!
The Groden Greenhouse serves both retail and wholesale customers and is also open to the public. As a full-service greenhouse, our facility offers houseplants and floral arrangements throughout the year.

Cove Artist Collective
The Cove Artist Collective seeks to empower our artists and provide them with employment opportunities, all of whom are on the autism spectrum or have other developmental disabilities. We assist our members, none of whom have any formal art training, to create affordable, unique ceramics that can be used as home décor.
Each member undertakes creative projects well-suited to their unique skill set and interests. Together, we roll out clay slabs, press in textures, cut out shapes, fire, glaze, and re-fire our work. Because no one artist has made any single, entire piece, we’re able to share the successes and proceeds with all members of the Collective. Our ceramics are food-safe, but not microwave-safe.
