Our Programs
Our Parent & Family Empowerment Program (PFEP)
Staff work collaboratively with parents and caregivers to deliver behavioral support, interventions, and parenting skills training for children with Autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors, specifically for families involved with DCYF (Department of Children, Youth, and Families) and Family Care Community Partnerships (FCCP). Our program aims to reduce family disruptions and minimize the need for out-of-home placements or permanent removal of children.
There is no direct cost to families. The Parent and Family Empowerment program is funded through Medicaid, as well as state funds.
Who Is Eligible?
Parents with or without intellectual disabilities with children with Autism, developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors (tantrums, aggression, oppositional) and parents in need of parenting and behavior management strategies
Exploring the Parent & Family Empowerment Program (PFEP)
PFEP helps families of children with autism and other developmental or behavioral challenges build skills and confidence at home and in the community. Our licensed clinicians and behavior specialists use a trauma-informed approach to provide assessments, skill-building, safety planning, and parent education—empowering caregivers with effective strategies to support their child’s growth.
How to Make a Referral
